Hours and Location
Hours
Currently, the Environmental Outpost and the majority of DASEF’s programs and school and youth field trips are available by appointment only. Our greater campus however, located in Big Oak Park, features a planetary and nature walk, a breath-taking sculpture, and beautiful gardens open to the public during regular park hours.
Since the fall of 2025, the Delaware Discovery Center’s (DDC’s) educational field trips continue to provide high-value STEM engagement for students, youth groups, and scouts. The first two floors are open by appointment to schedule school and youth field trips. Rooms and the spacious atrium are currently available to rent for various venues such as meetings, events, workshops, weddings, and conferences.
DASEF’s Environmental Outpost is also available to reserve for smaller, informal, meetings and gatherings.
Some of what we have to offer is outdoors, so think ahead and check the weather.
Parking
Parking for the Outpost is located around the circle in front of the building. Parking for DDC and our community events is located in our main lot, in front of DDC. Additional parking may be required for certain events and guests will be directed upon arrival.
