Hours
Currently, the Environmental Outpost and the majority of DASEF’s programs and school and youth field trips are available by appointment only. Our greater campus however, located in Big Oak Park, features a planetary and nature walk, a breath-taking sculpture, and beautiful gardens open to the public during regular park hours.
Our largest building, the Delaware Discovery Center (DDC), is the future home of innovative and interactive displays, artwork, dormitories, and much more. The DDC will strive to provide high-value STEM engagement and education for students, families, educators, and the community. As the school year approaches, the Center is ready for teachers and youth groups to schedule STEM field trips. Meeting rooms are available for community groups to rent.
Some of what we have to offer is outdoors, so think ahead and check the weather.
Parking
Parking for the Outpost is located around the circle in front of the building. Parking for DDC and our community events is located in our main lot, in front of DDC. Additional parking may be required for certain events and guests will be directed upon arrival.
