Phase I: Site work/Environmental Outpost/Bus Storage and
Maintenance Building
The site work for approximately 70% of the DASEF site is included in
Phase I. The outpost is located in the far corner of the
forty acre site in northern Kent County, a setting conducive
to DASEF's outreach and environmental, astronomical and
nature studies. The Storage Facility houses all of DASEF’s
vehicles and equipment.
The outpost is open to the general public on a limited basis for
special events and by appointment. DASEF's Outpost trail,
marsh walkway, ship’s bow and the Dig will provide unique
opportunities for applied learning experiences.
Additionally, the observatory will be open for special astronomical
events.
A schedule of these events can be found on our website under DASEF
Calendar.
School field trips, professional development for educators, Saturday
programs, birthday parties, events and programs are now
being scheduled.
Destination Dinosaur Academy offered.
