Phase I: Environmental Outpost and the Mountjoy Observatory

The Environmental Outpost is a facility that demonstrates the DASEF mission with emphasis on an appreciation and understanding of our natural world and beyond and the integration of  human ingenuity with the ecosystems of the Earth. 

Phase II: Innovation Technology Explortion Center

The exterior of the Innovation Technology Explortation Center in Big Oak Park is nearly completed.

Out next construction package focuses on installing a photovoltaic array on the roof and geothermal wells.

Two educational outdoor exhibits, our one-of-a-kind Park’s Studio sculpture and a scaled planetary walk are also well underway. It is anticipated that both will be available to schools and the general public in the fall.
